Why is Confidence and self-esteem important?
With confidence, comes the understanding that you can cope with whatever may happen and exist calmly around those who may challenge you. When you have real confidence and self-esteem, you begin to develop a stronger sense of self, to become authentic and not simply an adaptation of what others may want of you.
From the calm and confident public speaker you know, to the friend who just seems to be at ease with everyone, few qualities can outshine self-confidence. With self-confidence, you can extend your influence, accomplishing far more than you thought possible. Real confidence comes from within, from a calm acceptance and understanding of your own ability and value. Confident people not only behave and live more easily, they inspire confidence within others.
Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence – What’s the difference?
Self-confidence relates to how you feel about your abilities and can differ according to a specific situation. With low self-confidence, you do not fully trust your ability to accomplish your goal in any given context.
Self-esteem relates to how you feel about yourself. When you lack self-esteem, you are unable to draw strength from within and often struggle. With low self-esteem, your sense of security often depends on the approval of others and, without them around, you can equally struggle

Hypnotherapy (link), CBT (link) or a combination of both approaches can offer you ways to improve both your confidence and self esteem and so help you to cope more effectively with the challenges that face you.
When you come to your first session I will ask you some questions about the difficulties that you are experiencing, explore with you how CBT or Hypnotherapy might be helpful to you, and which would be most appropriate approach for you and explore what you want to achieve from from our work together.
